The twenty missions let you play as Nero, V or Dante as and when the story dictates. The story is outrageous but still funny, but the gameplay is where the DMC 5 shines. However, there are some areas that feel repetitive and boring, but overall they have captured the attention of players with excellent combat. The main attraction of DMC is the fighting and combos. Chaining combos to get that coveted excellent combo is the thing that everyone is looking for. One thing you should do is, complete the campaign and go back to play in the higher difficulty, that is where the fun is.
If you do not do that, then you are missing out. That is how great this game is. We have been playing it for hours upon hours, but we still want to keep going every day. The variety in combat, the different styles of each character keep things fresh. If this is the first time you are hearing about this, then it is a great entry to look at this series. If you love hack and slash games or want to get into this genre, then this is the best way to do it.
