Just editing this one didnt fix the fullscreen for me though. EAX might work. It always reverted to Miles after every restart though. Couldnt fix this sadly. I always changed it to EAX2 in the sound option each start. Or just leave it on default Miles if you dont wanna bother with it. You should try using sound driver tools like Alchemy to enable EAX in the game. Alternatively a tool called DirectSound should work too.
If you have tearing, force Vsync over the driver. The game has no Vsync option sadly so forcing it over the driver is the only way. And to avoid Aliasing, just use 4x Anti Aliasing in your driver. I should also note that this game works in 4K. Not kidding, was pretty surprised myself. Running an old game from with the Quake 3 engine in 4K is Well, weird.
Back then we mostly played with x and stuff. Good ol' times, haha. There is also a nice HD texture pack available from an artist named OmriKoresh. She is very talented! Definitely check it out! This further improves the already "HD" version, since most textures were unchanged and only stuff like widescreen, controller support has been added.
Also, if you play in German, Spanish, French language, there are further patches on the same website to fix some problems that appear when using other languages with the texture pack. StixsmasterHD: I'd still consider it abandonware because you can't just buy it, you have to buy the sequel. Plus the version here is the original release version while the sequel is bundled with an HD remaster which some people might not want since remasters usually have things not working properly or change things in a way that not everyone likes.

Install the program called "nGlide" and check the compatibility section of the nGlide website for the rest of the instructions on how to make it work properly.

This page doesn't mention anywhere it doesn't work on windows 10 and I've looked it up online and apparently the latest it runs fine on is windows 8. I even found a fix someone made for this but it requires the CD to be in your drive as if anyone is going to physically own this game by this point or even own an optical drive. So i'm at a loss. I got it to play quite well on win 7 after I ran it on XP3 compatibility mode as administrator. I'm so glad this was here, I bought Alice back in and had wanted to play it again but couldn't get the discs to work in any of my computers. It's a classic! Every time I start the game and begin to play when I get to a loading screen the game freezes and doesn't allow me to force quit. I really want to play this game and I can't afford a physical copy so it would suck if I can only play the introduction but not progress pass that. I don't know what to do and would love some help. I had this game as an actual physical copy and played the hell out of it as a kid, but now it doesn't work on my Windows 10 laptop, so this is really helpful.
