Be happy! Also, you do not get the right-side quick facts info bar front and center by default that is super convenient on the desktop site for many articles that contain links, top info, and media the developer responded and showed me where to enable a setting for this to auto-expand by default on every article: thank you!
But, I still prefer the location and view of the quick facts bar on the browser version, it just seems more consistent and familiar in a specific place.
Thanks for the feedback. We continuously work on improving the presentation of article in the app. For quick facts, reference lists and other tabular contetnt, they are always available, although under a collapsed headline. You can have them open and visible by default using a setting under the "Reading preferences" section of your Preferences. After writing this, i will have deleted the app in favour of the website.
This is for one reason: convenience, its way easier to find and go to a specific part of an article on the site rather then the app. On the app, you cannot do this. We are very proud of Minipedia for iOS, and we invite every iOS owner to download this wonderful, free reference app. I like app but if u r not getting the paid it the amount of txt verys 2 much but has good info I downloaded xxl version took long time at lest 12 mins and 2.
I've enjoyed it. Here's some suggestions: 1. When I open a table say countries of the world and their populations the back button is at the top of the screen. Then to go back to the last article the back button is at the bottom of the screen.
They should be the same, or better yet there shouldn't be buttons, see 2. Swipe left and right should be forward and back like in safari. That way I can confidently click on links and get back to where I was. Going back should go back to the same location in the article you clicked away from, not the top of the article. The image placeholders are kind of ugly. That's nitpicky I know. The search page should start with the box in the middle of the screen, like the google app so I don't have to reach my thumb all the way up to set the cursor.
Random page or suggested page would be nice. But it can also be used to replicate the database. The application has the offline Wikipedia viewer and importer you need. So download times may be slow. You can also check the main Wikipedia database download list for yourself. In nearly every case, the database file will be several if not tens of gigabytes in size. Before proceeding any further, ensure that you have Java 1. To prevent any issues regardless, we recommend taking the time here to just upgrade to the latest version of Java anyway to prevent any problems.
